Flixbus Stations and Trips Pro
Trips with arrivals and destinations in
I had a really enjoyable, albeit short, stint working at FlixBus. It’s a company I’ve always admired for its innovative approach — particularly how they collaborate with various bus companies to get routes up and running. It’s a fascinating model.
Fast forward to the present: for the past five years, I’ve been diving deep into . Naturally, my mind started to connect the dots: can we bring a bit of that FlixBus magic into a Coda doc? Specifically, I’m curious if we can pull in arrival and departure station information. Imagine being able to select an arrival station and a departure station right within Coda, and then — here’s the exciting part — generate a list of trips between them. Ideally, this list would show details like the trip duration, price, and maybe even the intermediate stops.
Does something like this exist? Can we make FlixBus data dance to Coda’s tune? That’s what I want to explore in this post by building a pack.
However, as with many tech adventures, there are a few hurdles to jump when trying to get these two powerful tools talking to each other. When building a Coda Pack, especially one that aims to bring in external data dynamically, we bump into some interesting structural aspects of how Packs work.
